The iPlayer live streams comes in handy when the main television is being watched by someone else and I'm recording a non BBC channel to my PC.

Every channel apart from BBC Alba seems to be off air until a certain time.

People complaining about not be able to watch F1 - do the majority complaining really not have any other way of watching it? Such as through an aerial?

I'm guessing it is quite popular on tablets and phones via the iPlayer app.

I'm not doubting that. What I was doubting was the inability for most of these people to find another way of watching.

If you thought the BBC's on-air identities were inconsistent, that's nothing to how they're represented on BBC Online

The new Video Factory streams are now running on the web version of the iPlayer.
Noticed my first 5166kbps 1080*720 stream today when playing in HD online.

I had 960x540 while watching Dani's House in HD, 512 x 288 in SD which then kept going up and down using adaptive bitrate streaming.

Looks like the 'Explore the BBC' panel on the global footer template is set to get an update in the near future.

Cue complaints time on the BBC Internet blog, the http://www.bbc.co.uk/ home page has been updated to the version that had been in beta on the mobile subdomain.

The new one is much better but no doubt some will disagree.

I wonder when the new Sport site will go live? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/beta/rugby-union
