Sorry to disappoint...but I'm pretty sure I know where those RTE Two ident clips came from. Clips were provided to the idents.tv website some months ago. Pretty sure they've been pinched from there.

There's quite a lot of stuff off TV-Ark on there too.

So, don't get too excited about this guy's contacts.

Not surprised really, everything on his channel is ripped off from elsewhere or just a camera pointed at a TV, makes sense now. Nevertheless still nice to see the titles clean.

Hi I am the owner of UKTVIDENT,
The RTE News 6 one titles, RTE TWO 2004 and 2009 idents were provided by my Uncles friend who works in RTE. The recent TV3 idents were suppyed by Teresa Murry from TV3 Marketing. And all tvark videos are being removed soon. I am currently testing recording with my dvd recorder so I wont have to record from camera.

Mark Little leaving prime time:

Who do ye think are prime candidates to take over?

Could John Bowman be possible returning to our screens?

Likely contenders: Bryan Dobson (he may like a change after nearly 14 yrs at the helm of six one), Paul Cunningham (environment correspondent), Richard Downes (Morning Ireland), all three are good interviewers in their own right.
Donagh Diamond, reporter with PT has been a stand in for Mark Little on Prime Time during the summer months, so he will could be in contention for the job.

Not Richard Downes I hope.

I wonder was Little pushed, he really was poor at interviewing and never really allowed a debate to flow, he kept interrupting with new points just as the debate was getting interesting.

On his replacement, I don't feel he needs a replacement - I don't understand why Prime Time needs two presenters. Most nights only one presenter is used and the other reads from the autocue at the very end. It's only two days a week as well.

I doubt Bowman will take over, Brian Dobson would be a good choice but probably wouldn't want to leave Six-One (and would leave a gaping hole if he did), Eammon Lawlor if he could be tempted back, David Davin-Power possibly.

Part of the problem is that the male presenter seems to take second fiddle to Miriam O'Callaghan, something Gift Grub have been taking pot shots at all week....

It will be interesting to see who takes it because some of the presenters that have permenant roles may be reluctant to take it as it is only a temporary job for one year. That's why I feel Bowman would be suited to the role.

Did anyone see the frontline with pat kenny. Its getting worse for him every week, first Jack O Connor insults him and now a member of the audience verbally attacked him. It made for brilliant tv!

Apparently that quote is based on Pats recent court cases about land....

Incredible piece of television. Normally this would be classed as a nutter going off on one, but I think many people agreed with his comments - Kenny and the other RTE presenters are paid far too much.

Some surprise news, The Irish Times has reported today that Ken Hammond has retired this week from RTE newsroom after a quarter of a century. Ken was one of best newscasters in RTE, sad to see him go, but the best of luck to him in his retirement
