Just out of interest, how long would the BBC and ITV have the satellites to Germany booked for all these games, in the event of the extra time we've experienced tonight?

Looks like ITV1 are sticking with their original schedule!!!
Poirot has only just started at 22:20 - even though it's supposed to finish at 22:30! You would've thought that Poirot would now be dropped. A 10 minute filler conjured up and then back on schedule!
BBC1 seem to be about 1 hour behind aswell!

Yep, BBC1 are running an hour late, so apparently Only Fools on Horses has been shortened!
Is this the latest BBC1 have ever been behind schedule?
I was watching online as well and they left the stream up for a little while so they showed about 10 seconds of Only Fools On Horses!

ITV's problem is that they've scheduled World Cup Highlights after the news and if they had got back on track by 2230 there would have been no time to turn around the highlights show for 2245.

What a superbly filmed closing montage on the Beeb. Nice orchestral version of Sports Prepare to close the coverage, and the now customary piece of poetry.

I thought ITV's ending montage was also very good.
It was more upbeat and much more of a celebration than the BBC's - which seem to dwell on England failure a bit more than ITV's.

It'll be interesting to see the viewing figures for the various stations. I think the BBC will have more than double ITVs figures, and UKTV G2 will perhaps have 500 odd thousand maybe?

The best figure UKTV came up with during the 1st round was 70,000 for a game which was being shown on BBC3/BBCi rather than BBC1. So they won't get anywhere like 500,000 for the final - they'll be luck to get a tenth of that.
In recent times the BBC has taken a 75% share compared to ITV's 25%. Anything above 30% will be a good result for ITV. I was surprised ITV took a break before kick off tonight - they dropped that break for the England games and I thought they might have done tonight as well given they were going head to head - they must lose a fair number of viewers in those 90 seconds.
