On the occasions I have seen Quil report from the region, namely on Breakfast, I think that he has done rather well and think that he would be a good permanent replacement for the region.

Some unusual presenter appearances over the weekend on World - Nik Gowing doing two early morning shifts. Martine Dennis doing a marathon shift on Christmas Day. And Lyse Doucet anchoring live from Phuket!!
