I wonder if BBC World will try new stuff with the co-pres from Washington when Justin takes over....but what would you like to see changed?

If Justin takes over in Washington for a while, does this mean that it will be double-headed with Mike Embley in London still, and thus two men co-presenting (which is a bit unusual)?

There have been two women anchoring it. Don't see why two men can't.

I note that The World is off on BBC FOUR for the 'Festive' Season - what are World using to fill it's slot on that channel?

No - don't get me wrong - personally I've not got a problem with it - it is unusual though.
(News 24 used to have David Robertson and Chris Eakyn presenting their Breakfast service together occasionally - and it worked fine then)

It's been talked about for a while i believe. BBC World News 22:00GMT bulletin which airs on BBC America and 30+ local PBS stations beats pretty much all but one CNN news program consistently for viewer ratings. It makes sense for it to happen. At least they will then know what proper news is like.
Though it is probably worth pointing out that if these are absolute ratings - PBS stations are available in households where CNN isn't - as even though cable and satellite have quite high levels of market penetration - they aren't universal - and so there is a proportion of the audience which will only be able to receive PBS.
Of course this might not change the numbers if the differences are quite large.
It will be interesting to see how widely distributed BBC World is - BBC America is still not available on all cable and satellite platforms AIUI.

Rebecca Pike in the newsroom presenting the business news and a guy with a strange name and a strange accent live from Baghdad... Who are those people? New faces or did they take them from somewhere in the BBC or other news channels...?
