I bet the new studio is going to be located where the old CNNSI studio used to be. I know they were doing construction work the last time I was there last summer.

Is the minimalist "World News" theme out there, for example a long cut of the closer or the amazing headline bed?
That was a theme! I remember watching World News specials from India and it was so good.

Not often I say this about CNNi, but they're way ahead of anyone else on their Chilean earthquake coverage. Obviously helps that they have a bureau in Santiago, but they also seem to have some real experts on seismology and tsunamis in their reporting and weather teams, which has helped to clarify some very muddled reports on some other channels (for example some were earlier reporting that the tsunami warning was lifted, when in fact there's still a threat all around the Pacific for the next few hours).

200% ahead of anyone else. CNNI handled things so well, right up until they handed coverage over to Domestic at 7am GMT.

Do you mean 7amET - at 7amGMT CNN Domestic is in taped programming and uses CNNI for breaking news
It was rolling with Breaking News, still is. It most certainly wasn't taped. Yes sorry, Noon GMT
