The app-only streams are provided directly by UEFA's digital partner - whereas anything on the red button has to come from satellite or fibre and into one of the red button playout chains (of which there are only 6). It would take a fair bit of resources to get all 24 matches into the building.

The English games rate very well - especially as Liverpool and Manchester United have been in it in recent years, and in the Champions League two English teams are usually playing at the same time, hence cannibalising the audience, whereas in the Europa League they can have viewers' undivided attention, so it's sometimes the highest rated thing on BT all week. It's also of particular interest in Scotland this season. So a nice contract to have, I think.

For the third time an end of contract BT re-negotiation which when ordered was fine has resulted in services being dropped. Resolved faster this time, but heck what a repeated shambles.
