First off I thought Have I Got News For You was returning with Alexander Armstrong as the permanent presenter, but then again this was only on the basis of a report in The Sun.

So it's back on Friday 16th April with a guest host each week (as is now usual)...Greg Dyke hosts the edition on April 23rd.

I saw Alexander Armstrong appear on GMtv (I think) saying he knew nothing about the sun report a few days after, but would probably do it if they did ask.

It'll be interesting with Greg Dyke... looking forward to it!

I personally would prefer if they kept the diffrent present each week format as it keeps it fresh, although I would have Martin Clunes or Boris Johnson back to do that show again

I thought Martin Clunes was excellent when presenting the programme, Though I believe Boris Johnson's style of presenting was, well, different. Confused

I note Media Guardian claim the Dyke edition (April 23) will be recorded at TVC - is this just speculation on their part or do they frequently/occasionally move it from the London Studios - which is where I thought it always came from..

On the HIGNFY guest presenters DVD, Paul Merton says about when filming at the LWT studios, he also mentions the LWT studios in the interview with Boris Johnson on the set of room 101 & I think that I once remembered when a cameraman swung his camera round to another one that Paul Merton or his guest were talking to & it had the London Studios logo on the camera. I think both come from the LWT studios

Yes, both HIGNFY and 101 come from The London Studios.

Not sure why they'd do it from TVC...

Bruce Forsythe was the best guest presenter. They cleverly adapted the whole show to his style. It was hilarious because it took the micky out of him, ian was gobsmacked and paul was loving it. It couldn't become like that permanently of course but it was a cracking bit of comedy.

Of course forgot that one that was great but it would never work as a permanent thing.

It will come from the London Studios

Sounds like The Guardian said that just because it made a good line
