ITV News are gearing up for their coverage on the breakfast programme. They already have a scrolling 'BUDGET 2004' on the background, and they have quite a nice logo which is being used on the ticker and slugs. Their graphics are very orange, but look quite good.
Last night I heard Mark Austin say that coverage of the speech itself will be presented by Nicholas Owen and Alastair Stewart.
I thought Sky News's virtual reality studio looked a bit poorer than in past years - quite scruffy-looking around Martin's head. I like the idea though - although Martin reminds me a bit of one of the blokes from 'Open All Hours' in that coat...!
Sky - a helicopter, what a waste of their own resources. Ridiculous really. I suppose she's going to travel all around the country in the chopper to see how the budget affects different people. To be fair though, you can usually get a cross section of single mothers, high-earners, low-earners, families, pensioners, smokers, drinkers etc in a hamlet let alone the whole of the UK! She could walk from house to house and do it! But no, bring out the chopper!
I'd love this thread to be the home of all the captures and video today while I'm at work, so please keep it coming!

I've noticed how there tends to be a lot of Sky bashing on this site. I suppose if they did run-of-the-mill Budget broadcasting, then they'd be criticised for
not
innovating and trying to do things differently.
