ITV gradient logos

I find the current ITV logos quite flat, I was thinking - what if they had a gradient? I know gradients are boring and can look a bit cheap, but this is ITV.

Quite nice, they certainly look better than the rather boring way they display them at the moment.

They had gradients last time, and no one liked them...

ITV2, 3, 4 and News look best IMO, the colours are too different from each other in 1 and Play.

I find those rather boring.

What if I inverted them?

How kind. I fail to see the purpose of this thread however. I could take the BBC logo and stick it on a red background. Doesn't make it a mock.

I really like this - it's a subtle but effective change. I'd be interested to see the purple ITV HD one.

I don't like the ITV Play one however- as said before the colours are too far apart.

I don't really get it, it's nothing most of us haven't thought about or tried already. Pete has a colourful way of putting things, but he is right. It's not an idea you can go anywhere with, it's a gradient and thats the end of it. If you're trying to say this would look better than a flat logo, you maybe should've backed it up with more images, examples of it used in idents and promos. Even then it's still a very poor mock.
