The original thread has been archived so I'll have to start a new one.
So the auditions are over and with the X Factor getting higher ratings than ever before it looks like the talent show bubble is still far away from bursting.
Which auditions from this year's show have been the most memorable in your opinion?
All of the Auditions from Cardiff where the most memorable for me. The good and the bad.
For some reason the girls who Simon cowell said reminded him of Vicki Pollard stick in my mind.
If ever there was a reason not to visit Cardiff this was it. There were alot of odd people at those auditions.
I don't normally watch these types of programme but the X factor has me giggling for ages. The eXtra factor is a good rib tickler too because Ben Shepherd is so patronising and the auditionees just don't hear it. There is something about him. I can put my finger on it but i wouldn't dare reveal my suspicions on a public forum as it would probably be libellous ( i think it's the correct term).
I'm quite looking forward to the boot camp as Simon Cowell has the right hump about mentoring the groups. Should make for good viewing.
Yes definately that one from Cardiff who Simon said reminded him of like Vicki Pollard.
Im glad the auditions have come to an end, a few weeks of auditions is OK but this year they had 6 weeks and I was getting fed up by the end to be honest. Looking forward to Boot Camp next week, and I think the live shows will start 2 weeks after that.
I think that the Under 25's this year is the strongest category with so many good singers, and the Over 25's are not far behind. The groups are the worst, Simon is mentoring them and is
not
happy.
The auditions stage annoys me as the programme will concentrate on the crap singers then round up those who get through in a couple of minutes.
I wonder if after Boot Camp we'll have the judges "home" round again! I personally think this year the judges should select around six acts, with the viewers then choosing three or four to form each category.

The judges select 7 acts who go to their homes... then they will be whittled down to 4 in each category who will perform in the studio.

I agree, I really enjoy the Boot Camp stage and especially the live shows. The audtions are OK but went on too long this year.
Next week we have both of the Boot Camp shows in one evening, at 6.10pm and 8.10pm. Then the following week is when the judges visit the contestants and we find out who is in the final 4 of each category. The live shows should start the week after that.
