I've had the idea of replacing the current blocks with circles. Very nice idea Martin. Nice to see you've kept the font too. 9/10

I'm afraid I find them rather boring, and I can't see them working too well on-screen. The concept is good in principle, but I don't find them overly interesting or attractive.

Thats the whole point of an on-screen logo. Look at the BBC's for example. You can't make them too OTT else it looks tacky and deters the formality.

I didnt actually keep the logo font, I drew those letters myself to resemble the old one slightly, but to be taller, rounded, and more modern.

They're a bit boring.

Try adding a gradient or a bevel? I think to really judge you'd need to see them in "action" so to speak, on idents.

I don't like the dots around the edge, but I think the ITV logo on it's own could work in a circle without the dots.

I just came up with this:

A "jigsaw" idea. Inspired by Martin's ideas of course Smile

Point taken, but I think you misunderstand me - I don't mean that a logo should be OTT to be interesting and attractive. There are many logos which manage to be understated and yet still interesting. And despite the fact that there appears to be very little to the BBC's logo, I still find it more attractive than these, in its simplicity and versatility, and moreover, its timelessness. I think these logos would age very quickly. The BBC's logo can also be used very effectively in many different ways - look at the CBeebies logo, or BBC Three logo - I don't think these ITV logos could be used with such flexibility.

I understand, perhaps this would be more flexable...
