Official Discussion On C4’s New Look

Channel4 Is undergoing a “make-over” on New years eve, with its introduction to a updated logo, and change to its original presentation.

First thoughts on ident into the Hoobs....

it depicted some sort of street market, with boxes of fruit floating in the air as the camera moved down the street, at one point making up the '4'.
it was lovely

the music was subtle and non-intrusive - reminded me of the 4learning stuff from...i don't know when....2000/2001? kids around school....good stuff so far.

Well the new look started today at 6am. First ident was of electricity pylons and I have to say I am not overly impressed with it. Pics and video below.

Hmm... Not overly impressed but it is clever the way they designed the 4 logo into the electricity wires.

i thought it wa sclever too

OK, who wanted to be the first to start a new thread then? Personally I think that any thread that starts with "Official Discussion On" should automatically be close out of principal.

Anyway the new design looks different, not sure if I like it yet. I'll set my capture card up later on today to start capturing.

On 4:3 break bumpers, they should move the text over a little to keep it out of the overscan area.

As for the idents: nice idea, really dull execution.

Well I really like the new look. Fresh, modern, lovely.
