I was putting the papers together this morning and saw a small article about BBC Worldwide and how ITV are interested in it, can anyone confirm/deny this.

It basically says that BBC Worldwide is valued at more than £1 Billion and that made £650 million odd last year from BBC Worldwide channels and programming as well as their joint ownership of UKTV. Seems interesting, any comments.

What would the point of buying a company designed to make money for the BBC. Surely most of the money comes from the fact that BBC Worldwide takes used BBC shows and re-airs them or sells them on VHS/DVD. What exactly would "ITV Worldwide" do. Can't imagine an "ITV World", or a range of the "best" of ITV on UKTV, or a huge range of ITV Videos. How about "ITV Prime" with a selection of the best ITV Shows. (Next: Technical Breakdown.) Unless it means ITV would still be dealing with BBC resources... ugh.
